We again invite all NEC members and convention attendees to submit your best aquatic photographs to the NEC Photographic competition. All entries will be displayed at this year’s Annual Convention, with prizes awarded for the judge’s favorites.
RULES
Eligibility: The competition is open to all registered Convention attendees and members of the NEC clubs.
Classes: The advanced class is for anyone who has ever received a first place award in any aquarium related photo
competition or who has ever been paid for any photographic aquarium related subject.

3. Underwater Life (Group or Tank Photos) – Prints, Advanced Class
4. Underwater Life (Group or Tank Photos) – Prints, Open Class
5. NEC Activities People Pictures – Prints
Format: Prints – Prints may be either photographic or digital prints. All prints must be mounted on stiff backing (dry or slip-in). Print size must not be less than 5” x 7” or greater than 11” x 14” (print size not including matte). People pictures may be as small as 3&1/2” x 5”.
Disposition of Entries: All entries will be returned Sunday, March 22, 2009, to entrants at the auction or by mail as received following the convention (entrants must enclose a SASE). Each entry should bear your name, address and phone number. Mail-in entries will be accepted up to Thursday, March 19, 2009. Walk-in entries must be received no later than 9:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2009 and must be turned in to the registration table.
Limit of Entries: Three per class – nine entries maximum.
Liability: All efforts will be made to protect photographic material submitted. However, the NEC is not responsible for any accidental damage or loss incurred during handling or judging.
Awards: Cash awards will be presented at the annual convention breakfast. $20 for 1st, $10 for 2nd and $5 for 3rd.
