Davis, Chuck

Chuck has been keeping tropical fish since he was 9 years old, and 52 years later, living in Florida, he is still involved in the hobby and is an active member of the Gold Coast Aquarium Society. Chuck has owned and operated two pet shops, a tropical fish import business and he authored the Society News Column for Aquarium Fish Magazne for ten years. Anyone who knows Chuck knows he loves the organized fish keeping hobby.  He has been active in the NJAS since 1973 and editor of their magazine, The Reporter, for over 20 years. Chuck has served on the Board of Directors for the American Cichlid Association, the Catfish Society of America and Federation of American Aquarium Societies.  He has entered more than 100 shows, won over 600 show awards and judged over 75 shows, including the Florida Fish Farmers show. Among his numberous awards, Chuck was awarded the AFISH HobbyistAward in the fall of 2007, and the NEC honored him in 1999 with the Betty Mueller Lifetime Achievement Award for his overwhelming dedication to and support of the NEC and to the aquarium hobby.
