Turner, Bruce
Professor Bruce Turner earned a Ph.D. from UCLA, and he has spent his life as an ichthyologist studing the genetics, taxonomy, evolution, and ecology of fishes. He has been an associate professor of Biology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute since 1984, and has published numeroous books and papers on Poecilia livebearers and Goodeids, as well as killifish. As accompished scientist, Professor Turner has interacted with many of the great hobbyists and ichthyologists since his childhood spent in Brooklyn, N.Y. he has spoken at AKA conventions and ALA conventions in the past.
